Its only 2 weeks today until the much anticipated Paperific Expo, in Melbourne (Royal Melbourne showgrounds 29-31 August) We are excited about our stand, (stand # 31) and you will be too we are sure. You can call in and see some stunning creations from our tutors Karen Shady , Michelle Grant , Steph Devlin, and Maggie Armstrong ... We will be taking bookings for the retreat over the weekend, and as a special incentive, we will add anyone who does book, and pay their deposit, into the draw to win an incredible prize pack, which will be drawn after the show.

Join Karen on a fun filled journey into mixed media, texture, and layering. In this technique focused workshop, you will learn how to use inks, embossing powders, texture paste, gesso, masks, and stamping to create beautiful and individual backgrounds you will use again and again. Then decorate your unique backgrounds using a selection of hessian, muslin, flowers, beautiful papers and more. This 12 x 12 layout would be perfect to showcase most photos, from masculine, and feminine, to heritage, wedding, holiday or outdoors. The class kit contains: a jar of Stampendous antique embossing enamel (valued at $9.00) Lots of new release Kaisercraft papers, Beautiful manor House Creations flowers, leaves, hessian, metal embellishments, muslin, and loads more. We have layout, and card bags, featuring 8 to 12 papers in each, along with a huge amount of co coordinating embellishments in each pack, so all the hard work is done for you. We will also have bulk flower and chipboard packs. AND THE BEST PART OF ALL

 

All the show bags will be at wholesale prices.. that's right, not retail.... WHOLESALE !! 

You would save your Paperific entry fee on one show bag alone. So, its well worth making the trip...

 

We will also have layout and OTP kits for sale, complete with full instructions, from designers

Introducing our first tutor for 2014 STEPH DEVLIN...Plus exciting news

 

Today is a very special day. Its the day we start to introduce you to our incredibly talented tutors, who will be wowing you with their amazing work at out 2014 retreat at Phillip Island, Victoria, in November. 

 

 

Firstly, let us introduce to you, the incredibly talented
 

STEPH DEVLIN

 

 

During the 9 years that Steph has been in the industry her designs have been highly recognised and extensively published both here and overseas.  She has been featured in magazines such as Creating Keepsakes - USA and Australia, MM Scrapbooking Sweden, Scrapbooking Russia, Scrapbooks & More UK, Somerset Publications US and all the Australian publications.  She currently designs for Ingvild Bolme and has been on the design teams for manufacturers such as Prima Marketing, Pink Paislee, Melissa Frances, and Webster’s Pages.  She loves educating within the industry, having been a former educator with Tattered Angels and has taught 100’s of women both within Australia and overseas.  Her style is very whimsical and pretty, which is perfect for her two daughters Emma and Madison.  She can’t wait to meet you all and share some exciting new techniques during her stay at the retreat.

We have some exciting things happening here on our blog over the next few weeks. Firstly, we have decided to extend the cut off date for our EARLY BIRD SPECIALS to SEPTEMBER 30TH.. We have decided to do this for 2 reasons.. Firstly, due to the delay in our class sneak peaks (due to product delays etc) , plus, we are attending Paperific Expo in Melbourne on the last weekend in August, and would love to be able to offer those ladies who book at the show, the same great deal. We are at paperific-Melbourne August 29-31

 

We are very excited to announce that Scrapping with the stars - retreats will have a stand at the Paperific Expo in Melbourne this year. The event is one of the largest in Victoria, and a must for all paper crafters. It is on 29th - 31 August, 2014, at The Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.

 

 

We have more exciting news.... 

 

 Karen Shady will be teaching a mixed media layout at the Expo as well. As you probably know, Karen is the co owner of Scrapping with the stars retreats, but, she is also a renowned scrapbook, and paper craft artist. Karen has been teaching scrapbooking for many years, along with being regularly published in all the Australian magazines. Karen has also served on several design teams, both in Australia, and over seas, with recent highlights being, Graphic 45, Manor House Creations, Brother international, Australian Scrapbook Ideas magazine, Scrapbook Creations magazine-colour team, Kaisercraft, and The Dusty Attic. Karen's class will be run daily, in the afternoon, and bookings can be made at the Paperific website, or at the show, on the day. Bus service from Ballarat to phillip Island retreat

We are working on having a bus service for the Phillip Island retreat. it will leave from Ballarat, may take in Deer Park, and maybe Tullamarine airport, depending on passengers needs. We are just wanting to get a feel for how many people would use this service.. 14^th-16^th November 2014 - Phillip Island

We are excited to announce our upcoming retreat, and are so happy that you are interested in joining us for a weekend filled with fun, laughter, creativity and loads of inspiration.

WHERE: Phillip Island Adventure Resort

WHEN: 4pm Friday 14^th to 2pm Sunday 16th

What to Bring:

Bottom sheet and a sleeping bag or doona and a pillow slip, (pillow provided)

Clothes for the weekend, (as there is a pool you may want to pack your swimmers)

Toiletries including towel etc

Scrapping things including photos, basic tool kit etc.

You are welcome to bring Alcohol.

Deposit: We require a $75.00 holding deposit to secure your place at the retreat.
Due to the huge amount of interest in the retreat, we are, unfortunately, unable to secure a place, until deposits are paid. (Or you contact us to make other arrangements)

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations after 30th of September will incur a cancellation fee of $150.00

Scrapping with the stars does not accept liability for loss of property or damage or personal injury arising from attendance at the retreat.
